Jagquie is a warm and compassionate qualified and accredited Mental Health Social Worker with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW). She has 34 years of professional experience working both in government and non-government organizations in suburban, rural and remote areas of Australia.

 

She works in a therapeutic capacity with adults and teenagers dealing with a multitude of issues such as: Trauma, Domestic Violence, Childhood Abuse, Depression, Anxiety, Post Traumatic Stress (PTSD), Bipolar Disorder, Addictions, Relationship Issues  and Grief and Loss to name a few.

 

Jagquie uses an eclectic approach in her counselling. She offers many skills in her toolbox: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Hypnotherapy, Mindfulness, Relaxation, Fast Track Technique and Radical Exposure Tapping® (RET).  Tools to assist people to address and overcome their issues through redefining their self perceptions.

 

She also has great passion for, as well as extensive experience in facilitating group work.  Jagquie has run support and personal development groups with women, groups with adults experiencing anxiety and depression, as well as Dialectical Behavioural Therapy groups.  Another leading edge program in Jagquie’s toolbox is facilitating twelve-week courses for women sexually abused as children.
